OK... Hi Readers! You have been reading my blog for a bit by now, and you should be able to see that my family is absolutely no threat to the sanctity of your marriage.
I have the same worries in life you do and am on average a pretty decent human being. I am trying to raise my daughter up to be a happy, loving, kind, generous and productive human being.
SO... now it is time for you to prove that your mind is as open as you have stated in your comments and emails to me. Click the big banner at the top and go sign the petition.
Please go over to Lesbian Mommy and read what other things you can do to make a difference in the world. Be on the side of justice. Go down in history as being part of a solution.
Keep in mind that this is not so much about the "right to marry" as it is about the "rights given under the right to marry." I know some of you won't sign, because the word marriage is in the title. Think about it outside the religious aspect, at least try to, because it means more than standing in a church exchanging vows.
It is legal protection not just for me, but for Abbie. Do you think I would survive a day, if she were taken away from me simply because I am not her birth mom? It could happen, if something ever happens to Melissa.
When you see ads denouncing GLBT rights, picture Abbie and how those votes across the country can and will affect her and thousands of other children in GLBT families.
Thanks from my family to yours.
I am now off to the zoo with my ankle biter....

You got my signature. I am all for the equal right to use the term 'marriage'. More proof that there is too much government involvement in religious beliefs.
